Æmotion Theatre is a troup of 25 acting students based in Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, formed by an actor and professor Valentinas Masalskis in 2019. Spending most of our time practicing acting, rhythmics and music – we feel greatly inspired to share our love for art with the world.
From the very beggining of our formation we immersed into many activities in order to mature as artists. We have been a part of various workshops such as: The History of Documentary Theatre with Lithuanian director Loreta Vaskova; the gathering of various Lithuanian theatre artists, Jauno teatro dienos, established by our course head V. Masalskis; we had an opportunity to practice with Hungarian director Arpad Schilling while he was working on hist spectacle in Klaipėda, Lithuania; we were a helping hand to Taško teatras in their historical and artistic performance Pasivaikščiojimas.
Our debut performance occured in 2020, during annual Lithuanian cultural event Kultūros naktys – where we carried out our visual and rhythmical performance Tabulas Musica, in Presidency Square, Vilnius.

It’s a story about contemporary human being. He moves and drowns in the rhythms of electronic music together with a crowd, which guides to consume and breath at enormous speed. Person experiences painful loneliness despite being part of a crowd. Existence evolves into emptiness where everything disappears like a mirage. It is time to face yourself. Like a breeze of fresh air, breathing brings essential answers. Breathing and confidence, that is all that person ever truly needed.

We believe that the connection between the theatre director who imagines the idea, the actor who embodies it, and spectator who observes the idea‘s personification perfectly reflects the collective interpretation of reality phenomenon.
Theatre proves that reality could be artificially created when a group of people agrees to the certain rules of interpretation and that reality is never finished or defined but is being created every time from scratch as people communicate and interact.
The uniqueness of “Taško“ theatre is collectivity, sincerity, musicality and colorful unexpected forms, for example, in the musical performances we use instruments we make ourselves from everyday household items. Our team values the connection with the audience of different ages and that‘s why our theatre‘s repertoire includes performances of a wide variety – chamber theatre, musicals, immersive theatre, comedies, tragicomedies and even horror fairytales.
In 2017 “Taško“ theatre was established by theatre director Valentinas Masalskis and music composer Nijolš Sinkevičiūtš. In 2020 this companionship was acknowledged as a professional theatre by the Minister for Culture of Lithuania.

I was born and raised in Tbilisi. Because my grandparents were actors, theatre has always been a part of my life. I knew from the beginning that I would join this field, and my first step was to enter the Shota Rustaveli Theater University in Tbilisi with an acting degree. I am also interested in modernist and postmodernist art, however, in order to do that, I think it is necessary to study classical material.
In parallel with my studies, I worked in various workshops, performances and filming, for example a role in King Lear directed by Andriy Zholdak.
