George Varsimashvili

Tiblisi, Georgia

George Varsimashvili is a Georgian writer and director born in Tbilisi, in 1986. After graduating the university in Georgia, he went to study film making in Paris 8 university (Bachelor’s and Master’s degree) and ESRA Paris film school.

During his studies he made a dozen of short films which were hosted on different film festivals. He shot his graduation feature film “Particulier a Particulier” in 2012. Although the film was only a graduation movie, it was still released in film theatres in France, Russia and Georgia. In 2016 he made a film for the Georgian public television “Dzmebi Qalaqshi” and the following year directed a short film “Schody” in Poland. In 2019 he was invited by Bela Tarr to direct a short film in Switzerland, which was premiered at Locarno film festival in 2019. In August 2019 George moved to Germany where he made a short film “Das Opfer”. In 2020 he became an artist for the light equipment manufacturer Dedolight.

Ewa Sztefka

Poznań, Poland


Born in 1993 in a tiny Polish town, Ewa first tried to become a programmer before realizing her interests lay elsewhere. Since 2017 she’s been an animation student at the University of Arts in Poznań, currently in the master’s program. She works mostly with digital animation, either hand-drawn or cut-out, but also dabbles in stop motion animation. Filmmaking is her main form of emotional expression. Her other interests include digital painting, character design, video games, and being a devoted cat parent.

Allexia Galvão

Lisbon, Portugal

A filmmaker graduated from Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado, she brings together in his career the series “Justiça” (2016), eu, a vó e a Boi (2019) and Malhação Viva a Difference (Winner of the International Emmy Awards 2019). She is currently dedicated to filming the feature film “Karanba-Made in Brasil” (Co-Production Brazil / Norway).

Simone Giampaolo

My name is Simone Giampaolo and I’m a London-based Director with an insatiable appetite for meaningful storytelling and humorous characters. In 2013 I graduated with distinction from the BA (Hons) Computer Animation Art & Design course at the National Centre for Computer Animation in Bournemouth (UK). Throughout my career I’ve written and directed over ten multi-award winning original short films, including the Oscar®-shortlisted Only a Child.

In the past years I’ve been working on a multitude of commissioned projects (TV series, commercials, short films and specials) for clients such as Sky, Netflix, Google, Cartoon Network, Disney, LEGO, Nickelodeon, Marvel, Pokémon and BBC, while collaborating with world-class studios like Jellyfish Pictures, Axis Studios, Blue Zoo, Ritzy Animation and Aardman (which has been representing me as Short-Form Director since 2018).
I’m also a board member of London ACM Siggraph and View Conference, and between projects I enjoy mentoring young animators and upcoming filmmakers by hosting lectures and masterclasses at international universities, festivals and conferences.
