JUZT
Vilnius, Lithuania
The quartet has only been in existence for a year and a half, but last year it became the winner of the Novus’19 competition for young groups at the Loftas Art Factory. JUZT members also play in other bands and are active on the Lithuanian jazz scene. The ensemble composed a collective composition 5553 for the competition.
Tuomas J. Räsänen is a sought-after drummer, a student at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. Last year, he won first prizes in both Tamsta Drum Day and Baltic Drummers League competitions, and was recognized as the best instrumentalist in this year’s VJYP competition.
In addition to JUZT, the drummer plays in Avis Rara and KZK on TV. With various formations he has participated in jazz festivals in Kaunas, Klaipėda, Elektrėnai, Ariogala, RUMSHK’20 in Šiauliai, Loftas Fest, Saulkrasti Jazz (Latvia) and Beantown Jazz (USA).
Nikita Kiriuchinas studies at the Jazz Department of the LAMT. Currently, the musician is most interested in synthesizers, but he also plays drums, bass guitar, keyboards and several wind instruments. In addition to JUZT, he works with KZK on TV, SynthEtika, and the LAMT Big Band, also composes and arranges music.
Keyboardist Kazimieras Krulikovskis currently studies at the Vilnius University of Applied Sciences, works for Sonoros Vilnius city choir and Ugnelė children’s choir. In addition, he plays in the John’s Shower Band, KZK on TV and Castor Stetson; arranges music.
Bassist Vainius Indriūnas studies at the Faculty of Arts and Creative Technologies of the Vilnius University of Applied Sciences. Last year he appeared in the VJYP competition with the VR Quartet and was recognized as the best instrumentalist. He also won first and second prizes in the Novus’ 19 competition with JUZT and John’s Shower Band; was recognized as the best in the bass guitar category in Gitarų šėlsmas (Guitar Frenzy) competition.
Tallinn, Estonia
Tobias Tammearu Trio’s music can be described as spacious and immersive, the other times as rebellious and confusing. The main focus will be shifted from music to musicians. That’s why Tobias will be joined by Robert Rebane on bass guitar and Martin Petermann on drums. There’s only one rule – Don’t expect anything, let the music guide you. They released their debut album “Bivium” in October 2020, which has gained a lot of attention and positive feedback in local communities.
Aalborg, Denmark
Born in Lithuania 1995, Agnė PasaraviČienė was raised in a musical family and began classical piano studies from an early age. From 2003 until 2010 Agnė was very active in the scene of national and international piano & chamber music competitions. From 2010 until 2014 Agnė explored her creativity away from classical music in the forms of songwriting, composition, and being a side woman in pop music bands.
In 2014 she started her jazz piano studies at Vilnius University of Applied Sciences and in 2016, she was admitted to The Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg (Denmark). During 5 years of residency in Denmark, Agnė was a part of several ensembles as The JAR Trio, Jazz9tus Orchestra, Pachamama Band. Also, she has played together with artists like Kenneth Dahl Knudsen, Ganna Gryniva, and Kirill Yakovlev.
At the time, Agnė is exploring the musical universe both as a composer and performer. She writes piano pieces that reflect her influences from Romantic, Impressionistic and Neo-Classical genres and modern jazz inspired compositions for her quartet.
Vilnius, Lithuania
Being good friends and playing together here and there since childhood, Rokas and Dominyka stood up as a “band” of themselfs in 2011. It started with giving away hearts-to-open songs for the closests in various celebrations and small gatherings. In summer of 2012, with a help of beautiful “Tegu Teka” people, album “Žemė Dabar Sukas Ratu” was recorded (teguteka.bandcamp.com).
Musical genre called “homecore” found its meaning. In spring 2013 drummer Andreij joins the band, making acoustic sound more solid. After leaving to France in autumn, Šarūnas takes his place.
In June of 2014 band went to silent period which lasted till… 2018 when Ignas joins in with his guitar sound, and band reborns as Homechestra .
In 2020 Homechestra in summer releases new debut album “Dialogues that never happened” and after album presenting show band accepts one more band member Pijus, with his keyboard.
Tallinn, Estonia
Tuuli Pruul is an artist from Estonia, her music offers poetic-philosophical song texts, interesting harmonic progressions and groovy arrangements. The members of the ensemble are young, talented and recognised musicians who are no strangers to the stage. The ensemble performs only fresh and original tunes from the mind of Tuuli Pruul and is besides jazz dipped into a rhythmic soul and pop sauce, which is definitely exciting to listen to!
Tuuli Pruul finished her master’s degree in the Estonian Music Academy and has studied jazz in H. Eller Music School and music production and contemporary composition in G. Ots Music School. She spent a year in Malmö, Sweden, complementing her studies with songwriting and arranging skills.
Riga, Latvia
Waterflower is Sabine Moore’s alter-ego. Challenging normality, exploring femininity within electronic music, Waterflower creates unique, conceptual avant-pop that could equally be exhibited in an art gallery, or discovered at an underground club.
Her latest album “Balta Gaisma” recieved 2 nomination at Zelta Mikrofons 2021 (Annual Latvian Music Awards).
Copenhagen, Denmark
Baraboro is an electroacoustic music project, created by Gintė Preisaitė. Gintė is documenting everyday life in the form of sound, collecting everything from voices and noises to instruments and improvised music sessions.
Preisaitė transforms, manipulates and programmes an impressionistic image of nature.
Swarms of insects, heavy industry or wind, left in the question between synthetic and natural origins of the world. The founding idea of this project relates to topics of dreams and daydreaming: surreal atmospheres, collages and various emotional/impressionistic states of mind. Instilling in the listener an experience of ambiguity — a state between reality and dream.
København V, Denmark
Bahima is a Copenhagen based band that plays adventurous and atmospheric music, which falls under the genre Roots & Hybrid with elements of oriental as well as western music cultures. Bahima welcomes you into a mysterious universe which consists of colourful lyrics mixed with odd time signatures and oriental scales supported by the evocative, Indian tablas, the floating, fretless bass and the emotionally transporting cello.
The band consists of Barbara Mathiesen (composer, vocals, guitar and piano), Gabriel Svastha (tablas), David Slusarski (bass) and Amalie Askjær Staunæs (cello).
Their mission is to expand the musical horizon of the Danish youth by contributing to the understanding of how music can affect us as individuals, and what we can do with the music itself. The band does this by presenting music which balances on the threshold between challenging and accessible. Challenging in its polyrhythmic, odd time signatures and strange tonality, yet easily accessible in its catchy melodies, relatable lyrics, simplistic and repetitive motives as well as general expressional clarity.

I am a Polish drummer, composer, band-leader and producer based in Copenhagen. I lead bands as Pimpono Ensemble or E/I and play with numerous groups with a wide aesthetic range: from free improvisation and creative jazz through noise, post rock, experimental electronic music to alternative pop. I have graduated from Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen.
In 2016 I have established an independent label Love & Beauty Music. Since 2019 I co-organize an international Idealistic Festival and host a radio show Trans-Bałtyk in polish Radio Kapitał presenting music from Copenhagen underground.
Currently I am working on a debut solo album “Pozdrawiam” to be released in 2021. The genre-full sonic material ranges from heavy drum grooves and fast Singeli-like sequences through noise, field recordings, static textures, ASMR-like soundscapes to modern pop sound obtained by usage of synthesizers and autotune effect on vocal. Ancient Into Future. I would like to present this fresh music at your event.
Tallin, Estonia
Maris Pihlap is an emerging singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Estonia, making her one of the first mainstream female producers in her home country. Her musician’s journey started out as a promising folk fiddler, diving deep into Estonian tradition, until in 2019 a playing related injury put it on hold and led her to an alternative path instead – she taught herself to produce, started writing original songs and refining her skills by remixing other artists’ music.
Her debut-EP released by TIKS Rekords in February 2021 gained immediate attention both locally and internationally, paving the way for a full-length album set to be released in early 2022.
In her fantasy world, where genres or expectations don’t exist, Maris takes the listener for a sound journey where traditional music and jazz meet electronic pop production, which are all intertwined into effortless unity. Some of the most characteristic features of Maris’s music are her dark, yet airy vocals, and the bold minimalistic use of the violin, compared to the likes of Sudan Archives and Maarja Nuut.
